@dansup@pixelfed when you do a “total rewrite”, does that mean you start from scratch as if previous versions never existed, or are there libraries or functions you wrote before and reuse?
@dansup@pixelfed Did you ever get feedback about the font sizes? Whenever I see your Pixelfed screenshots, I really like the overall aesthetic, but also notice that all the texts seem way too small to me. It’s a bit hard to tell without actually using the app myself though. ✌️
@dansup Though I'm using dark mode for its battery saving properties on an OLED screen I always liked the light mode. I wouldn't mind using it in the new app for quite some time.
@dansup What sometimes irritated my in the current app is that I can double tap an image to like AND to un-like it. I sometimes accidently removed a previous like.
So my suggestion would be to allow double tapping the image to like it, but not to remove a prvious like. Removing should only be possible via the icon.
We just enabled GitHub Discussions for our mobile app repo, and added a new onboarding screen that will appear once you login to our beta app for the first time!
