28 June 1912 | A Polish man, Józef Pazdro, was born in Dębica.
He was deported to #Auschwitz on 14 June 1940 from Tarnów in the first transport of Poles to the camp.

22 June 1900 | Italian Jewish woman, Elena Spizzichino, was born in Velletri.
She arrived at #Auschwitz on 23 October 1943 in a transport of 1,035 Jews deported from Rome. Together with her daughter Franca she was among 839 of them murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
21 June 1903 | German Jew, Erich Bundheim, was born in Emden. A merchant. He emigrated to the Netherlands.
He arrived at #Auschwitz on 17 July 1942 in a transport of 2,000 Jews deported from #Amersfoort and #Westerbork.

21 June 1929 | French Jewish girl, Estelle Sobol, was born in Paris.
She arrived at #Auschwitz on 19 August 1942 in a transport of 997 Jews deported from #Drancy. She was murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.
17 June 1942 | SS men shot 120 Polish prisoners at the Death Wall in #Auschwitz I. They were selected from those deported to the camp from Warsaw, Krakow, Tarnów, Radom, and Lublin.
One of them was a brickmaker from Marki Edward Rabczyński (np. 22869).
One of some 140,000 Poles incarcerated in Auschwitz.

9 June 1905 | A Dutch Jew, Eliazar Blok, was born in The Hague. A musician.
On 20 January 1944 he was transferred from Westerbork to Theresienstadt Ghetto, and on 28 September 1944 deported to #Auschwitz. He perished in Dachau in April 1945.
