Normally, I don't post Linux stuff - but this one is worth sharing IMHO.

As you may be aware, Broadcom has taken over and they are ditching the free tiers, as well as some lower tiers. Prices are up 10.

Proxmox has just released version 8.2 of their open source hypervisor. It features a migration wizard that can fetch VMware VMs and import them through the API.

So, if fits your scenario, this is pretty much effortlessly switching and giving the big finger to the capitalist fucktards at Broadcom/VMware.

If it doesn't boot on your Dell hardware, try disabling X2APIC in the BIOS. It is a bad implementation from Dell, not Proxmox specific.
