I was thinking about a more elaborate statement, but its not worth it. So i'll just say it: I'm done with #Germans telling me how I am allowed to relate my own, inherited, #nazi-caused #wartrauma to what is happening in #Palestine. I don't need to ask your permission, you don't have a say in it. And you sure as hell will never be able to relate to it, that much is abundantly clear by now. #antifa#antifascism#resistance#occupation
Today In Labor History April 8, 1943: The Nazis executed Otto and Elise Hampel for making anti-Nazi postcards and leaving them in public places. Hans Fallada wrote about them in his 1947 novel, Every Man Dies Alone (Alone in Berlin in the UK). The story was filmed in 2016 as Alone in Berlin.
🗣 The IHC is one of the institutions organising the seminar "Ecologies of Movement: Retracing Empire & Dynamics of Resistance", whose call for participants is open until 15 April.

Millaray Huichalaf, a machi (ancestral authority, spiritual guide, and medicine woman) for some 150 Mapuche Williche communities, in Los Ríos, Chile, leads resistance against Statkraft, a Norwegian state-owned company that is building a hydroelectric dam on the Pilmaiquén River.
Time for Autonomous Action for Palestine: A Conversation with Within Our Lifetime
'We will also discuss the benefit of - and existing calls for - decentralized actions, de-occupations, assemblies and gatherings, public testimonies, research/writing, media-making and agitprop, mutual aid stations, trainings and teach-ins in the streets, roving shutdowns, disruptive poetry readings, sit-ins and slow downs, strikes and marches, singing and amplifying sound, painting walls, resistance parties, wheatpasting, and other happenings.
"Within Our Lifetime is not only a name, but a promise, a motivational cry, a rally, and a call to action. It is the steadfast belief that no matter what obstacles we will face, victory of the oppressed is inevitable."'
Any of the Palestinian memoirs/biographies are great in so many ways. You can come in with little idea of the Middle East and get a human story as well as where that falls in the history/context of something people call complicated, but isn't.
One nice thing about campaign season, is Barack Obama is around a lot more. Bill Clinton is too (they were all in NYC for that blockbuster fundraiser).
Millennials Are Killing Capitalism: Al Shifa, Resistance, and Fanonian Psychoanalysis with Dr. Lara Sheehi
"In this episode we will talk about the war crimes the zionists have committed in Al Shifa, how this fits into the landscape of this genocide materially and psychologically. We will also revisit October 7th and discuss how psychological warfare has made it challenging to discuss what Al Aqsa Flood represented and enacted. In doing so we will seek to resist the framing of this day that places limits on our speech and actions in solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance. We will also incorporate some discussion of Fanon and his analysis of the Algerian revolution and the anticolonial process."

I wonder what happens to these people when Trump is no longer running for president? Maybe he wins, maybe he loses, maybe he retires, maybe his age or diet actually catch up with him. What does the #resistance do with their lives after that? Because I doubt it's "fight for universal health care, economic justice, the liberation of prison slaves, an end to the Gaza genocide, and the environment". Libs never really cared about any of those things, they were just a convenient vehicle for their next capitalist shill who's totally not worse than the republican.
📰 Fernando Rosas was one of the people interviewed by Universitetsläraren, with whom he spoke about his experience as a political prisoner in the Peniche Fort, as a lecturer at the dawn of democracy in the university, and about the foundation of the IHC in the 1990's.
#Ukraine: resistance against mobilization, #article by Iene Anarchiche
After the scandalous #parliamentary discussion and adoption of the #law, defined on #socialmedia as "total mobilisation", popular #protest against the #terror of #military#conscription intensifies. #Women are playing an active role in this #resistance.
Even before the law was passed on February 7, the conscription rampage was already in full swing.
One shows humor in the face of such circumstances as Palestinian refugees face and another shows that this carnage (by Israel) you see today has been happening a very long time (British+Zionists).
Ghassan Kanafani in the 70s dealt with the same problems we have now:
“Because this is something that cannot be avoided.” In fact, though, this phrase is an extension of the widely used Israeli slogan that “A good Arab is a dead Arab.”
~ “Knowledge is Israel’s worst enemy. Awareness is Israel’s most hated and feared foe.”
In that 2014 article, “There are no poems of mass destruction,” he wondered why Israel would bomb the Islamic University of Gaza, where he taught literature. ~

"It is almost as if the world is telling us a morbid joke: we will kill you if you resist and kill you if you hide, and if you refuse, and if you concede, and we will devour your land and gulp your oceans and kill you with hunger and thirst."
