An adaptation of Magritte's The Return, featuring a nest with eggs and the shape of a flying bird filled with blue sky and clouds in the sky beyond. In this version we have the same nest, but instead of a bird flying there is a profile of a large knitted chicken filled with blue sky and clouds, sitting by the nest.

    An adaptation of John Singer Sargent's "Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose" painting of two children lighting paper lanterns in a garden full of dark foliage and pink and white flowers. In this version there is a large ball of teal wool on the ground, and the shadow on the building is the profile of Myfanwy the knitted emotional support chicken. The film title has been changed to SUPPORT CHICKENS (in the style of STAR WARS) The Myfanwy Menace (because I have a soft sport for alliteration).

    @greenpete @sheepnik I feel better now. Thinking about it, this is very much in the spirit of star Wars really isn't it? Changing things after the fact...

    Wondering about how JAWS would have been presented, if it was a large knitted chicken instead of a deadly shark.

    A spoof of the Jaws poster. Instead of water in the bottom two thirds we have a bed of hay, from which a large knitted chicken pokes her head, looking to camera, beak down. Below her beak is a human hand full of seeds. At the top of the image, beyond the bed of hay, is the word BEAKS in bold red text against a pale background. There is a slight ominous vibe, all things considered, but probably not as much as the original poster if I'm being totally honest.

    A pastiche of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. The logo and title has been changed to "Myfanwy & Friend the rescuers of the lost auk". It is the scene where the golden idol is stolen, but in this instance Dr Jones is replaced by Myfanwy, a large knitted chicken in a hat, the idol is replaced by a puffin, which Myfanwy's friend (a simple drawn figure) reaches out to carry.

    So I'm not a big action movie person, but I would watch the shit out of this.

    A pastiche of the Mad Max Fury Road film poster. At the top, in large blood splattered yellow letters it says "MAD MYFANWY FURY ROAD". It is set against a stormy sky, above a styalised desert landscape. Myfanwy, a large knitted chicken, replaces the woman, facing right wioth a large gun hanging from a chain around her. On the right the ma is replaced by the friend, a simple drawn figure, but in this case with the metal casing over their face and a chain dangling down. They point a gun to the left, over Myfanwy's head. An indistinct dead person lies on the ground by a felled motorbike.

    A bit of classic English art for a Sunday afternoon; Constable's The Hay Wain (1821), with added Myfanwy & Friend (2024).

    The Hay Wain painting depicts a rural river English scene of the 1800s image. It has three horses pulling a large wooden wagon across the river, with a dog on the shore on the left near a pretty cottage. On the right are fields, with large trees scattered all around. There are two figues in the cart; these are now Myfanwy, the large knitted chicken, and friend.

    • Quite fancy doing a Myfanwy & Friend version of American Gothic. Should be easy to swap them in.

    • Could do, but it'll be a faff. Myfanwy is taller than her friend, but she really needs to go on the left, so you're going to have to patch the building where the man used to be.

    • Oh. I bet that's the sort of thing that AI is good at. Should I sign up and see?

    Tadaaaaa! Celtic Gothic

    Grant Wood's American Gothic painting but the man and woman have been replaced by a large knitted teal and cream chicken (Myfanwy) and a simple drawn figure (friend). The friend is holding the pitchfork from the original painting. Because the friend is so much shorter than the original man, the painting has been patched in all manner of ways, and although I am happy enough with it I really shouldn't have mentioned it, as it encourages people to look for the flaws.
