my heron buddy has a friend of his own, regulars who are on this pier every time I arrive for a sunrise 🙂

A golden glow lights the sky and river's calm water near a major highway bridge, looking in the opposite direction of a morning sunrise. The bridges huge support columns reflect an inverse image on the water below. In the foreground a heron and a gull sit quietly as I approach. They are there to hunt in the sunrise waters, I'm there for the sunrise in the opposite direction. They seem comfortable with my appearance, and are likely the same pair I see every time I visit this particular pier.

    Colorful night view overlooking the Florida East Coast Railway tracks and drawbridge trestle crossing the Saint Johns River. The rusty old tracks shine in orange and red from nearby illumination. Adjacent is the Acosta traffic and pedestrian bridge, massive grey concrete structures brightly painted with cow murals and illuminated with bright yellow lighting. The far shoreline of the calm, wide, dark river is lit with the colorful night lights from a skyline of buildings all casting reflections upon the still waters below., all below a clear deep blue night sky.

    Exploring Jacksonville • North Main Street & Trout River Bridge

    From a bridge overlooking a mouth of one river, the Trout River, joining another, the Saint Johns River. On a sunny clear day, visibility is far into the distance where a major suspension bridge, the Dames Point Bridge can be seen clearly next to giant cranes from the port docks. Several boats and sailboats are out on the clear blue waters, beneath a light blue sky. Directly below the overlook, the remnants of an old fishing dock and marina line the shoreline.

    "Food Court" entrance at the once thriving "Regency" mall now in sad disrepair and empty, leaving behind the colors and architecture of the 1980s and 1990s.

    Beneath a bright clear blue sky, a curved shopping mall entrance with a front facing wall of mirror like windows. Despite the dirt and disrepair the windows clearly reflect surrounding scenery of buildings and plants, and also provide a glimpse of the grand colorful food court architecture inside the empty tomb like space.

    The side-view of a very old building on a lot that takes up an entire city block downtown between the sprawling "Antique Shop" style building with many markers from its numerous previous uses still intact, and a fenced-in "Sanford & Son" style 'yard' with clusters of old relics.

    🏃‍♂️ my view on today's morning run ... the scenery along Hood Road is amazing 💙💚💙💚💙💚

    A stretch of undeveloped land beneath a brilliant blue sky with whispy, swirling, thin white clouds. Rows and rows tall forest trees in a variety of green shades, many draped with Spanish Moss, as a backdrop to a clearing with incredibly tall overgrowth of plants, vines, and grasses in shades of green, yellow, and brown.
