@phil_browne Happy to discuss sea-ice age (offline). Maybe age categories can still be informative?

Temperature in the snow layers would be usefull to compare against IR or PMW temps.

Are there melt-pond variables? (Sorry for asking only about "difficult" variables ;) )

@lavergnetho I'll find out what type of temperatures we can have. For (currently in production, ocean and sea ice reanalysis forced by ) we have grid box averaged sea ice and snow temperatures.
We also have melt pond area fraction there too. Might be possible to have melt pond depths/volumes too - would they add much for you?
