A question for anyone selling 3d-printed objects on a small scale: What e-commerce software/platform are you using? Would you recommend it?
I would like to offer a small selection of 3d-printed items for sale but the monthly cost of a lot of the popular e-commerce platforms is offputting. $40/mo for something that I may make a single $5 sale on during that time just isn't worth it, you know?
A joy to be at Clare College to unveil the stone sculpture of the 1359 seal - greatly enlarged for visibility! Wonderful workmanship by Cardozo Kindersley Workshop, http://kindersleyworkshop.co.uk
The skill of the medieval silversmith & the modern stonecarvers was celebrated in a third medium with our project mementos! These were made by Cameron Newham FSA, using photogrammetry, 3D-printing, & handpainting. Tiny medieval treasures & large stone sculptures are both hard to move: these small replicas are a delight!
My mother got her MSc. more than 50 years ago. She was a sort of a pioneer as she run climate models on computers. I remember we had #punchedcards (that were unfortunately lost in a flood many years ago). She has found a #punchedtape a few weeks ago. I remember back when I was a kid I wanted to build a system to read it. It may become an interesting project… #vintagecomputing
The #phototransistors work fine. This base should keep them aligned properly for the punched tape reader. Let's hope my printer is not going to die while printing this one #3Dprinting. #arduino
I haven't used my 3D printer (a Prusa i3) for a few years. It turns out I had every possible #3Dprinting issue (clogged extruder, connexion problems...)
