Upvoting or downvoting many items in someone's page should not be seen as bad. Ref :TOS
Terms off service (TOS) makes it very bad if I understand it right ? And why does the user interface makes it easy anyway ?...

Is there any interest for the option to "hide" posts? I used it all the time when I was on reddit and would love to see it added here. The feature was always helpful to keep the homepage clear of posts I've already read.

Title says it all. I've made 3 posts and it doesn't matter what app I use or even on the desktop site I can't seem to find my own posts on my profile page. When I click on someone else's profile I can see all thier posts so idk what's going on.
Wondering if theres a policy for users who are clearly here to troll and stoke/create drama?
When using the web browser to draft a Lemmy post/comment that contains a direct image upload, the instance creates a self-hosted URL that publicly shows that image prior to the user deciding to publish that post/comment. This creates a liability in several ways:...
I seem not to be able to create a post in the community !theNetherlands. When I tap the ‘Create’ button, instead of creating the post, it just keeps spinning forever and never actually creates the post. I’m using the regular Lemmy.world web UI on Safari on iPadOS 16.6.1....
It seems all the mods for technology@lemmy.world are inactive, and are not making any effort to combat spam....
- Lemmy.world is not loading, and I am encountering an error when opening a new page....
This is completely counter productive to growing Lemmy. I absolutely despise discord. Look at the network traffic it generates and tell me wtf they are doing. They won't tell you. Their business model will leave you completely dumbfounded as to how they exist. Everything shared on the platform is lost in a black hole unavailable...
They are a lemmy instance dedicated to the facilitation of piracy, and copyright infringement in general which is illegal. It is by nature in violation of the rules of your instance which prohibit illegal content, therefore it is imperative that you defederate it in accordance with your policies.
Is that a configuration or a software problem?...
I've been trying to post a - rather long - comment for a while, and it's just not going through. It just instantly disappears on old.lemmy.world, and sits there spinning on the main site - while one-liner comments elsewhere have worked as normal. I'm not getting errors, but that's kind of par for the course. Could it be length...
It'd be nice if the admins got everyone's input on these sorts of things. Admins making decisions without thought to our opinions is what drove us here from reddit. I'm not going to lose sleep over hexbear defederation in particular, but it's a disconcerting precedent....
Hi,...
That's something I didn't need. Warning for everyone who has nsfw enabled and pictures unblurred. Block to not get assaulted with gore and stuff....
Is there a way to see all things I've upvoted? Reddit has this feature and it was really handy, but I have not been able to find it on the website nor the handful of apps I've tried. I know the data exists in the system, just doesn't seem to be exposed to us
I've tried setting this option in account settings but I still get asked for every post and comment. The drop-down defaults to "Select Language" with "Undetermined" and "English" as the options within.
I sometimes see myself being logged in as another user when I refresh the lemmy.world page with Ctrl+F5. When I stop the page from loading at that point I can see all the communities they have subscribed to. Is that supposed to happen? 🙃...
User @Kombuchawow is banned for whatever reason but they are the sole mod (owner?) of a bunch of communities....
I had to do this on Reddit over the years. I have zero interest in sport, for example. And it seems there are thousands of individual communities for every sport, every team, all over the world....
I feel like with the 3rd party apps shutting down tomorrow, Lemmy could be flooded with new users. It would be a shame if their first experience here is with that front page bug.
Today I seem to be unable to comment in a local comunity. The "Post" button keeps spinning....
