@meganL would like add fenders to their cycle. Can we help brainstorm?

Q8. This is a bit specific, but how can I attach fat fenders to my Cargo Quad? (Either storebought or making some.) In front all I could attach to are the "arm" handlebars and the rear I suppose I could attach it to the wooden cargo payload.

@ascentale @meganL A8. I wonder about a tube/bar insert at the bottom of the arm shown with red arrow. Steadied with a tube clamp, to keep alignment (shown with green).
Both mounts could be 3d printed
As for the back, attach to the box.

@rodbotic Sorry to be obtuse, but do you have a link to what a tube clamp looks like?

Yeah, I think the rear fender is going to be an easier solution as long as I'm willing to attach to the wood.

@meganL is the back even needed? The rooster tails would be beside you.

@rodbotic A8. There are quite a few puddles on the cycle paths here and they throw water and mud quite a ways when you're whipping through them.

I have to be more prissy than I was when I lived somewhere else - living in a trailer means I do not have a mud porch. It all gets tracked into a small cramped hard-to-clean living space.

@meganL here's two examples. On my walk.

A square tube being clamped by 4 bolts

@rodbotic Thanks. I'll have to see what I can think through.

@meganL and your mind might change when you recieve the fenders and they need to mount differently than you would hope. Like if they are too flimsy over the arch over the tire.

@rodbotic Increasingly I'm thinking that I'm going to have to jury-rig some existing lightweight bent wood or metal to fit.

But I appreciate people's ideas because folks have made good points and it allows me to think through what could be adapted.

@meganL keep us updated. I'll keep my eyes out for a solution.
I need a front fender solution too, i don't have the clearance between the top of the tire and the top of the forks.
