@GottaLaff Stalin had a distinct pattern of picking people with flaws that could be easily converted into social stigmas — such as felony convictions — but that wouldn't directly endanger his power as his closest coworkers. Seeing the pattern of combined sycophancy and incompetence in both Trump's cabinet and his legal teams, I think he's trying to follow the same pattern, only he's worse at recognising ability than Stalin was.
