Hmmmm. So as an independent researcher (i.e. not employed by any institution) who wants my publications to be open access, I should create a company of which I am the director and unpaid employee, and write a company policy that the employees assign a nonexclusive irrevocable licence for OA archiving of all their copyrightable works to the company.

I don't post to X/Twitter any more. But I'll do what I can from Mastodon. Here's hoping that OAOxford will open a Mastodon account, and join the OA community here, even if it keeps one foot in X.
