Yes. Many seem to have forget the US crackdowns against largely peaceful 2020 protests. Protestors plus legal observers & journalists were attacked or arrested. We now see results of authoritarian capture of the court. If the 2024 US election results in capture of an unaccountable executive & potentially all of Congress, the silencing of dissent may well become comprehensive.
