@wjmaggos@BeAware Quotes are not available on Mastodon, but they are available on other Fedi platforms. People on Mastodon can just link to a post's URL and reply above it effectively making it a quote post.
Completely quashing abuse is difficult when everything is so decentralized for better or worse.
But sometimes people just want to say their piece without having to entertain a bunch of replies or bad faith actors. Gonna have to agree to disagree on wanting everything to go viral.
