@MaxCorp@SDF hi Stephen - it’s likely because the service is not yet open to Australian users. Only for US UK and JAP. I’m not sure why maybe it’s still beta.
But in looking there not sure whether Threads is a good Mastodon partner. There are many people on there with all the effects of scale. Could be a culture shock.
