Typical pay for the 100 highest paid CEOs was over $29M last year.

Much of the compensation was tied to stock gains.

Just so happens that corporations spent ~$800 BILLION on stock buybacks, which artificially boost share prices.

Translation: CEOs are goosing their own pay.

@rbreich Capitalism is the problem, taxes and caps on wealth accrual is the solution, but that will never be solved until we are mostly of the same mind. 🤔

CEOs goosing their stocks with buy-backs WILL NOT CAUSE A FINANCIAL MANIPULATION BUBBLE collapse leaving common stock holders holding the bag (of near nothing)...
