At the heart of all this fascism and authoritarianism in the U.S. is the desire by powerful white men (and numerous other people) for WHITE MEN in power to STAY IN POWER—and to stay in power for as long as possible before more conscious BLACK and BROWN people (not the Tim Scotts, etc) are elected by an increasingly Blacker and Browner voting base. Why do you think all this racist gerrymandering by Republicans exists and has been going on for DECADES? HELLO!?!?
