I don't think most people realise how much unofficial #SocialWork type stuff all #community projects end up doing these days. Rural services are dire or non existent, the job centre hounds everyone and woe betide you if you can't use internet to update your universal credit journal. I'm about to take food and drink supplies to a local rough sleeper who lives under a bridge. He is being told he must go to the job centre (a mere 16 miles away) in spite of having a sick note saying he has suspected advanced cancer and is really unwell. It will be me or one of our volunteers taking him to Job Centre and also to hospital (25 miles away) for a scan on Friday if he is willing to go. Sigh..
