I don't understand the downvotes that this post has received (Currently 8 upvotes and 27 downvotes). The post is just reporting on a finding. It's not stating an opinion. Are people just unhappy that Trump's polls have increased so they're taking it out on this post? Is there something wrong with the article link? Is there some inaccuracy in the reporting? This feels like an example of shooting the messenger. Am I missing something?

I suppose there is the fundamental issue of people not collectively agreeing on what upvotes and downvotes should be used for.

It seems that blathering on about nonsense and not even bothering to answer the questions asked is the key to winning against…. just being old.

Man… if it’s not just going to be bad candidates- it’ll also be stupid voters that is going to be America’s undoing.

At the end of the day- what’s at stake is America’s democracy. And if we look at what’s happening as an currently incurable disease intent on killing the body within months- logic would dictate that what we need to do is keep the body alive while looking for/researching a cure. Buy time. Do what we must to keep things going.

Meanwhile we have some doctors and nurses running around screaming at everyone that we need to just cure the disease RIGHT NOW, regardless of it being impossible and others even stupidly suggesting that we just stop treating the body entirely- and see if doing nothing fixes the problem. All while knowing that this isn’t how any of it works. And all this is going to do is divide the care team’s process and waste enough time to allow the disease to claim the host.

Some are doing this on propose, and others are doin this without even being aware of it.

The disease sucks. And even if it’s cured, the body will still be sick. But it’s better than the alternative. And while a sick body isn’t good, healing is an option/ whereas if we let the disease claim it,

Death is the only option.

Do the right thing and fucking vote. We are dying here.

Trump garnered 48 percent support in the poll to Biden’s 42 percent in a head-to-head match-up. That’s an increase from an identical poll in February, which found Trump with a 2-point lead.

Trump’s 48 percent vote share is the highest mark of either candidate at any point in the 2024 race, according to the Journal.

Ignoring this isn't going to work. But we still have time to give Dem voters what they want so we can stop trump:

A sizable 80 percent of respondents — and 76 percent of Democrats — said Biden, 81 years old, is too old to be reelected. Two-thirds of respondents said they want him replaced by another Democratic candidate.
