So, if I understand, less than half of Haley's 20% of Iowa GOP caucusgoers say they would hypothetically vote for Biden over a candidate they are not currently supporting.
I did some research on EBT programs in some of these states in college. They are all overrun with fraud. The states run these programs in the most half-ass way possible. Most of the funds get sold on the street for pennies on the dollar. Not to mention, that most of the people receiving the benefits in these states live in food deserts with no public transport where they don't even have a quality place to use the funds. The program is generally a fucking disaster and the leaders in these states have no interest in making it better. More desperate workers to exploit for their wealthy donors.
Uh no. EBT saved my life in college. It's a great program, there if you need it and income regulated. Some nuts may misuse it, but someone somewhere is getting that food.
Republicans: Nobody can have it because 1 person might use it fraudulently.
Democrats: Everybody can have it, we don't care how many people use it fraudulently so long as 1 person is being saved by it.
Yes, I'll vote for OG Neoliberal to attempt to stop Jerry Lewis Hitler for a third time, just as they chose to turn the water pumps on the Titanic knowing the ship was doomed either way to buy a few extra minutes.
It's funny how many true believers in our failed system then angrily declare that I must also love crime bill passing, social safetynet eviscerating, supply side economics propagating Biden, or I'm still somehow voting for Trump.
I turned out for Clinton, never seen the ballots so empty for a Presidential election, after making calls and primarying for Sanders.
I will turn out, but many will not with nothing to vote for, only against and that is the electorate's fault, not the disenfranchised. They have good reason to be.
Then the party will see that they got "enough" centrists to vote for them to justify dumping anything progressive from the platform. And then lose both the house and senate in '26.
