The International Court of Justice #ICJ ruled past friday that there's a plausible risk of genocide in #Gaza, and it gave specific instructions to #Israel to prevent a genocide. Those measures also imply other members of the Genocide Convention, such as the US, Canada, UK, etc.
Still, instead of following the court ruling, the Western nations have decided to cut funding to the UN humanitarian relief agency #UNRWA, that implies furthering the risk of genocide.
@benny@palestine it'd be convenient if you try to better inform yourself. The ICJ can't rule if there's a genocide or not until an investigation and trial are held. Said process takes years. If the court finds reasons to believe there's a genocide going on they'll attract the case, as they did, and recommend emergency measures to prevent the genocide from happening, as they did. This ruling is the most condemning one the ICJ could have made, it does mean there's a genocide going on.
@benny@palestine I'd like to add that Israel has killed 26 thousand people, 11 thousand of them children. It has destroyed centuries old churches, mosques and historical buildings. It has bombed hospitals, universities and UN installations.
Academics, activists and human rights organizations have accused Israel of carrying out a genocide. Its not just Hamas saying so.
Please, please try to better inform yourself and use your own criteria. THERE IS A GENOCIDE GOING ON, funded by the USA.

When some terrorist demolish some houses in the US this is reason enough to bomb the whole world, but when Israel gets attacked by terrorists killing thousands, kidnapping even more, among them little children, they are not allowed to self defense because the terrorists hide among civilians. Rules for thee but not for me is it?
@benny@argumento@palestine The US is a literal country/state/nation. Gaza is an occupied territory of Israel. That's the difference. I'm no legal expert but one can read international law.
@benny There absolutely is. There's a famine going on right now and people are deprived of food, water and safe spaces. The hospitals are shelled, the medics are being shot at. Nothing short of genocide.
The USA, Italy, Canada, Australia, UK, etc., are in open contempt of the Court's ruling, so is Israel, that not only expelled displaced Palestinians from Kahn Younis to Rafah, and bombed hospitals, the day of the ICJ ruling, it also held a right wing meeting where Itamar Ben-Gvir vowed to bring back illegal settlements in Gaza, and to expel the Palestinians from the Strip.
That also falls under a specific measure the Court ordered, to stop genocidal speech.
There is no justice, just us. No one is going to stop the massacre, but us taking the streets, shutting down stores of brands that fund the genocide. Fucking rioting.
