I, for one, fully support any Mark V that wishes to transition to male, female or hermaphrodite, just the same as I support any adult human to do the same.
Sometimes you gotta make changes to fit your mission profile, and a person feeling comfortable in their own body is obviously mission critical.
Literally one of the first things I noticed about NCD back on The Old Place was that it was incredibly LGBT friendly. It was one of the reasons I felt comfortable enough to stick around. I'm not LGBT, but there's always a sense of dread with certain interests lending themselves to... unpleasant views. Why do I gotta know about their sex stuff while I'm at work, watching a movie, or doing literally anything else unrelated? If I bring up my penis somewhere, I get a big ol "that's inappropriate!"

There are now people in my parliament that have called for the death penalty for queer people. And they are poised to get 30%.
