TL:DR Emulators installed via Flatpak won't recognize steam inputs during remote play, However AppImages will work. So if you want to play PCSX2 via Steam Link from your main rig, install the AppImage version....
Pi-Hole and similar DNS adblockers just seem like a hassle. I can't tell my parents to buy a raspi, flash it, install and configure pi-hole, configure their routers or devices to point to the raspi, and do all of that from another city....
First, let me be clear up front that I'm not promoting the idea that there should be one "universal" Linux distro. With all the various distros out there for consumers, there's lots of discussion about Arch, Debian, and Fedora (and their various descendant projects), but I rarely see much talk about openSUSE....

I'm noticing more and more Apps actively trying to avoid Themes and instead opting for the fixed default look. Even some of the Default Gnome Apps. And then there are initiatives like Please don’t theme our apps. Is this the slow death of GTK Themes, and if yes, why?
What do y'all think? Does switching to Linux as an entire corporation mean RedHat? Or could it be done on a distro like Debian?
There are always stories of people installing Linux on their parents computer to provide them a more secure and stable operating system, seems interesting to share experiences....

I'm trying out NixOS on my laptop right now and I'm loving it so far, but I was thinking of setting up distro box for ubuntu (mostly for a few developer environments dependent on it) and arch (for packages that aren't on nixpkgs yet). I was wondering about the battery life hit on a laptop and I couldn't find anything definitive...

I just had extreme pain with this....
Sounds easy? Well, it should have been. I'm not talking about a "Hello, World!" (although it is more or less on the same level for me). The goal was to write a set of three MQTT clients that properly talk with each other and interact nicely....

Hello,...
From another comment I made...
So I'm currently using zsh + oh my zsh, and have been using it for some years now. It's good, it has amazing features (via plugins) and overall I'm happy with it. But lately it has become laggy for me (probably because of plugins) and I want to see if there's any other shell with features like ZSH but faster and lighter?...
Have you noticed there are some shameless thefts, basically clones, in the world of terminal emulators? At least the ones for GNOME?...
I think ---DOCKER--- is doing this. I installed based, and userspace(7)-pilled liblxc and libvirt and then this asshole inserted a dependency when I tried to install from their Debian package with sudo dpkg -i. One of them was qemu-system, the other was docker-cli because they were forcing me to use Docker-Desktop, which I would...
Something tells me Fish is not a capable login shell? It was in /etc/shells, but that does not mean it's a login shell right? Would any shell with job control be a login shell? I'm really scared to logout! Any help is appreciated....
About 50% of the time, if I choose sleep, it turns back on as soon as it shuts down. This can happen a couple times in a row. Other times, it sleeps normally and only comes back on with keyboard input. I’ve looked at running processes and there doesn’t seem to be anything I dual happening at the times it starts back up. Any...
