Yeah this same conversation happens every time one of these headlines comes up and gets misinterpreted. The conclusion is usually that apple has longer than average hardware support across the board
"Not as shit as you could be" is not something we should be praising. A handful of years is still too short, just because it is marginally better than their competitors doesn't mean we should give Apple a pass. It just means that the industry is full of shitty companies that profit off of producing e-waste, and know that consumers have no real choice but to put up with it.

I remember decades ago when a US court convicted Microsoft to seperate their browser from windows. The court wrote the verdict that Microsoft ilegally tried to prevent competion . Since Microsoft lost it shouldn't be difficult to file the next suit . @kde
As I recall:
Microsoft Windows used to have good online help, circa 1991-1994 (Windows 3.1).
It was based on the Rich Text Format (RTF).
Then Microsoft added a web browser, and called it Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer really wasn't very good for exploring the internet, apparently because its development had been rushed and it didn't display some things like other browsers would.
Then Microsoft argued in court that its web browser was an integral part of Windows, which Windows could not work without.
Then the judge removed the web browser from his own Windows-based computer and experienced no problems.
Then Microsoft changed its online help to HTML and made us use its web browser to access it.

One of the KDE Plasma features I use almost in daily basis is the MouseMark.
Go to your settings, in Desktop Effects, Enable the MouseMark (you can change the settings of it in the button in front of it). Then press Meta+Shift and move your mouse to doodle, or press and release Meta+Shift+Ctrl to define beginning and end of an arrow (it will draw the rest.

KDE has been working with the Capeverdean American Community Development (CACD) of Providence, Rhode Island, to provide IT lessons to underprivileged teens.
KDE will participate Google Summer of Code 2024 with many new projects
From frameworks to translations, from Krita to KStars, GSoC recruits will work on improving performance, boosting interoperability, and adding features to a long list of KDE projects.
