Nostalgia is a plague, especially when the people pushing it either remember it incorrectly or weren't even alive to see it...
Feel free to bring back the 90's in makeup and fashion, though: my eyebrows will thank you and I can continue to just wear what's already in my closet, only now I won't be an outlier 😂
@stina_marie@horror Maybe the wide availability of photography also changed how people pose as a couple? Like taking a picture was a bit of an occasion, not everyone had a camera, and getting a shot was significant enough to frame one often.
Nowadays we see all facets of a couple through pictures, since basically everyone has a camera on themselves if not in their hands. It's no longer special to have your picture taken in and on itself. We don't pose as much, or we pose differently for social media.
Anyway it's still a bad picture to illustrate their point, I see happier couples everyday and I don't go outside that much
