I found it by searching "BPD" which is a coming acronym on the mirror article. It was actually my first try, almost missed it because of the dramatically different titles.
Yes, the pictures, both the route and the aerial show how much space this currently wastes. Recover polluted wasteland that is currently unuseable, join the right of ways for purple line and highway so at least there’s only one, replace a tangled knot of overpasses with a simpler design, add a train station to open that whole new neighborhood to develop served by transit, and remove a traffic bottleneck. Wins in all directions, but just moving that mess away from the river is worth it
I like the gumption but Occupy Wallstreet did absolutely not a god damn thing except designate "Peaceful Protestors" as a "Domestic Terrorist Agency" for the DHS.
It won't achieve anything except getting them to double down.

In the case of the protests, demanding disinvestment from Israeali companies or somesuch, is a totally reasonable and actionable goal. But sadly all the yahoos are nutcases are gobbing onto to these protests and bringing in their crazy nonsense and the students who started them dont' have the balls to tell them to fuck off.
