After eating the last pickle save the jar of pickle juice. Then when a broccoli stem becomes available cut the tough outer skin off, chop it up and toss it in the pickle juice. Works well. They reach a taste that’s very close what the pickles tasted like. After 2 or 3 cycles of that the pickle juice starts losing its strong...

Just got a high refresh rate monitor (PG248QP) and it makes a high pitched noise when I set it to 500hz. Anyone else have this problem with this or other high refresh rate monitors?

Only briefly eclipsed by individuals like Mao, Stalin, Hitler, or Kissinger....

Maybe using Syncthing or MPD?...

I hadn't gone exploring through the settings till now. You can add a share button for your instance by going to Settings > Sharing > Add sharing method. After that you just paste in your instance URL (ex. https://lemmy.ca for me). The steps are the same for both Lemmy and Mastodon...

For some years now, I have been using Laravel Homestead to quickly build up a virtual machine with all I needed installed. But it seems to not quite get the love it needs, and I'm wondering if folks have moved on to a different environment or tool for their development.
