Year 11 iGCSE student who's interested in tech, music, linguistics, mythology, literature, crochet, art and Taylor Swift. I usually post anything from goofy posts to vents and rants to infodumps, plus tons of boosts. I tend to write absurdly long posts. Possibly neurospicy. Don't say I didn't warn you. <3

Identifies as a mishmash of carbon compounds.

I occasionally do alt4you before boosting a post that contains images without alt text. If I'm too lazy I would just fav the post. If the message is too good but I'm still lazy, it might still be boosted. Please add alt text, thanks.

I'd hate to compare myself to Taylor Swift (how on earth could I be on that level of genius? That woman is great at what she does!l, but I get the vibe that TTPD feels like a very confused kind of poetry with complex metaphors and makes almost no sense – and is somehow cohesive as a whole. BTW this is not a dig lol. I mean that TTPD is literally her brain and emotions (all confused, all complex) basically being dumped into music and producing this raw, emotional work of art. So beautiful that, back in the mundane world, away from the creative whim and not knowing what goes on in the creator's head, we simply could not wrap our heads around this masterpiece.

It kind of reminds me sometimes of poems I used to write as a preteen because I couldn't sleep and I felt sad about something and something snagged in my head and I had to write them. And the poems never really made complete sense unless I polished them. But the emotions I felt... were pretty raw. And somehow, in writing complex metaphors and comparing life to random things in life and colours and concepts I found a way to make sense of things. When I wake up the next day I feel detached from them in a way. I either don't get what's going on or sit back and stare at the piece of art I wrote in a stream of consciousness.

And the topics aren't always about just one thing. It can be many things. I could talk about past experiences and fantasies and my current situation all in one go and the finished work is based on me, but is almost a work of fiction.

I wonder if that's what TTPD is to Taylor. All of us are overanalysing everything, doing paternity tests on songs and making theories as to why she felt this and that, and confused with anything that doesn't line up, and don't realise that poetry doesn't need to make sense or be a polished work with a perfect, smooth plot. It was made in the heat of a moment's emotion. It's not meant to tell the story; it was meant to explore that emotion in every way possible.

Oh..

My...

God...

Taylor is literally breaking down her songs about Joe and putting them into the "5 stages of heartbreak". Lover is in the DENIAL stage. So is Lavender Haze. Sweet Nothing. Love songs.

That is craaazy.

honestly nobody leak anything for Taylor's new album

we lose out on cool stuff she wants to do, such as vault videos for Speak Now TV

seriously fans don't want leaks. Don't give it

okay some fans do look at leaks but nobody actively wants leaks

Congress in the US has banned Copilot for security reasons. I would take it further. Really the way Windows is coded now, it is a significant security problem. The idea that it is unclear whether you are using local data or online data is unacceptable.

This includes:

  • Login. Login should be local. You are not logging into a service. You are logging into a computer. The service should be separate from the computer.

  • Copilot. Clearly another case where you may not realize that you are sharing data by asking a question.

  • OneDrive. Another case where local data is backed up in the cloud, without active actions by you as a user. Backup is great, but you should have to explicitly enable it and there should be a warning that your data may be scanned.

  • Windows. In reality even Windows is now a problem given the login issue and any tracking that is happening.

Online cloud services can be great, but one should never be forced into online services or lured into them. Any computer should work fine without having to use OS online services, except basic services, like updates and the like.

@jon I got a new computer recently and I was absolutely shocked that there is no way of getting out of signing into a Microsoft account. The only way to use the computer otherwise is to use a different OS!

I was about to argue that oh I CAN THINK OF SPECIFIC PEOPLE WHO ARE STRAIGHT MALE SWIFTIES then I just realised... one of them is gay, and the other is questioning his sexuality

point still stands that straight male Swifties exist but whelp that's a bit awkward
