Somehow I didn't know anything about "Colonia Dignidad" and now after reading some wikipedia articles I'm deeply disturbed. (It's a cult, run by Germans in Chile after WWII.)

Also there is some kind of edit war on on the Augusto Pinochet page over if he's a fascist or not... the kind of argument that seems to be missing the greater point.

Really I do not know enough about Chilean history.

Are there any myths, narratives, stories, etc.—religious or otherwise—about men as caregivers? I’m very ignorant of what’s out there. The only ones that comes to mind, strangely, are the Homeric Hymn to Pan (19) and the way Jesus talks about children in the synoptic gospels. Any and all suggestions or ideas are welcome!

totally agree !

there was a small window of time (and some initiatives lobbied for it), when it could have become a non-profit, run by a foundation-like structure…

this would have been certainly a way much better future for that old bird (and all of us users)
