I boost a lot of art, photography, weird/interesting science, the perspectives of people who aren't the same demographic as me, jokes, and politics.

I'm good at designing and creating physical objects.

Human rights, paradigm shift, environmental justice, justice reform, sustainability, hopepunk, and resilience. Billionaires should not exist, and they definitely should not be running our lives.

Why do I have to have a cat clinging to my butt behind me in my chair????why?

westerling ,
@westerling@wandering.shop avatar

@futurebird

Mine does this too! Will sit on my lap if he HAS to, for maybe 20 minutes at a time, but will happily sit between my butt and the back of the couch for hours and hours, making it so that I have to sit forward rather uncomfortably. He does NOT knead, though, so I guess I dodged a bullet there.

I dunno, man. Cats.

I remember these books! I loved them. I still don't know what a nose-flute is though.

I have no idea what brand of this is. I got it for $2 at Arts Parts Creative Reuse Center, along w/ a dozen "orange" Thornton's Luxury Goods ink cartridges for $2.75.

It needed a good soak and some time to dry. After which: BEHOLD! Effortless writing.

(How do y'all take such fantastic photos of your pens and ink and writing, btw? Anyway--)

I maintain my theory that the best, smoothest-writing, most comfortable fountain pens are to be had second-hand for under $10.

What are the reasons to avoid Noodler's? I don't think I have any samples from them, but I can avoid it in the future.

Ah, I see, ok. There sure is a lot of ink out there to choose from, without getting involved with clotting inks from clotted opinions. 😆

Why is anti-vax content so popular. Looking at places like Fox news, Rogan, others who fed into that content (and made it more legitimate seeming to many people) the only reason I can detect to make such content is that it's popular with a segment of the population.

So, that explains why people make it. To make money.

But why is it "popular" ?

@futurebird

I just skimmed the thread and didn't see this viewpoint highlighted so apologies if somebody already said this: For some people it started with an intense distrust of Big Pharma and the overall feeling that the health care system in this country is always trying to make a buck off of us by cutting corners, and that they don't really care what happens if they fuck up. People are not wrong, all of those things are true, but vaccines are still needed. /1

Concept: the fae are out to get your name to control you, and the true name they need is the screen name you used online when you were in middle school

@Violinknitter

Joke's on them, I'm too old to have an online screen name in middle school.

I've bought a vest that's heated by a usb power bank and now NOTHING can stop me. Not this cold apartment. Not winter. NOTHING.

I'm one of the warm people again. Ha!

What's it like, living in the future?

This made me think, at what temperature do they keep the Enterprise?🤔 Nobody ever looks too cold or too hot...if the thermostat is set at say 73, why are there not people in sweaters on the bridge, or people in short sleeves? Are some of them wearing long underwear? Maybe some of those uniforms have usb power banks in them for climate control.
