I need to start learning again after my brain has atrophied so I can go find a new job. Ideas on what to study?

a couple ideas:

  • learning Blender

  • fpv drone flying ( tiny whoops are a cheap intro and can be flown indoors)

  • 3d printing and/or building a 3d printer

  • create a completely new operating system from scratch 😜

that sounds awesome 😃 I wanted to suggest lightroom and photoshop but then I remembered your orchid pictures and thought you got that covered already 😄

prusas are really awesome printers, a little pricey when compared to other similar offerings, but reliable workhorses with awesome support.

may I point you towards a 3d printing rabid hole on its own: Voron 😉

vaguely shakes fist in the air damn capitalism

I know not much about lenses other than it can get super expensive real fast. When take pictures of my cats its usually with my phone 😅

Hypothetically speaking, if I needed a university text book on short notice, where could one find those to download? This is totally not because my son forgot to buy a book for an assignment that is due today.

not sure how its handled at your sons University, but when I was in Uni I could get ebook versions (often pdfs) of most books directly from the website of my unis library.

players and GMs: How often have you used an epub version of a game or module? (Boost for sample size, please.)

Not using epub versions, but I prefer to buy ttrpg books as pdfs.

the reasons are simple: I like having full text search, save on shipping and dont have to wait when I buy the book online.

So for the last week or so I started to look into it was prompted by getting the bundle from bundleofholding.

Turns the I am currently Playing has a Book for converting Traveller to it. and its sold on Marc Millers homepage https://www.farfuture.net/

I never knew what I got myself into when I tried out playing in 2020 😄 now I play very little dnd but a lot of Hero/Champions.

curious how traveller will pan out. So far I have been reading through the Books I have and the wiki online 😃
