I am at a friend’s place and all three of their dogs are barking uncontrollably.

My smart watch just alerted me to the fact that I am in a very loud environment (>90dB) and should avoid prolonged exposure.

Right now I am day dreaming about how great cats are.

@vampiress oof I could not do a barky dog in my space. Very grateful that ours is so quiet. She’s a husky (but rarely vocal), more like three cats in a dog suit.

The merfolk gathered around the wreckage, nets and spears in hand. The half-drowned human sailors gaped.

One merperson made a disgusted sound, "Survivors!"

"We are, yes," declared the human captain, uncertainly, "Please don't eat us?"

"Ugh, humans taste foul as their legs look, we wanted cheese!"

"Why the spears then?"

"In case of sharks."

"Oh. OH."

Eventually the humans were all taken ashore in exchange for a buttload of brie.

    @vampiress my concern is that Facebook would take this as a positive data point, ie “yes we’ve finally got the data accurate enough to scare the product - keep doing more of whatever we did here!”

    @vampiress I’ve been enjoying reviving/rediscovering my old Apple IIgs. It’s fun just as it is already, but I’m also looking at the possibility of making it way faster and also getting it online, all of which is now possible thanks to random nerd projects .
