"Klara and The Sun" by Kazuo Ishiguro

The story is based on Klara's point of view, an android designed as a companion for home schooled children. Especially "gifted" children. Klara stands in the store waiting. Periodically she is selected to be in the window display for better exposure. And then, it happens... A well written novel with a twisted, entertaining and intolerant dystopian future.
