I found the neighborhood ladybug hatchery. I apologize for the truly terrible photos, but I am posting four of them so you can see how many ladybugs were hatching on this one apple tree.

At least five ladybugs and various stages of hatching on tree leaves. It looks like one ladybug is possibly trying to mate with a nymph?

Have you ever stopped listening to or trusting a person who posts information in media, or online because of a "red flag" ?

That is are there certain topics, habits, actions etc. that instantly decrease your trust in a person you might have otherwise listened to on a podcast, article, or video?

Are there any "green flags" that build trust?

One of my favorites. It took about a year before I could make sense of what the hummingbirds were doing. And I suppose it took them a year to be completely fearless when I was around. It finally happened. If there’s something you think you can do, you probably can.

finally caught one of my favorite parks on a day when they weren't doing construction there. glad i went over there because the prairie ponds are full and there were lots of shorbs hanging out! a couple pairs of killdeer, some little guys (maybe sanderlings), and a big guy (maybe a yellowlegs or something like that) gotta review the pictures for both lol. then right at the end there was a sandpiper climbing all over this tree. i just never think of sandpipers being near or on trees so i thought it was so funny. at one point it like hopped up at the trunk of the tree to get a bug or something. it was such a cute little guy

@loren it's surprising when you see birds somewhere you don't expect or doing something you don't expect. i saw some snowy egrets eating urban street refuse recently. i was a bit shocked. i've only ever seen them foraging in the sand at low tide.
