That means we’ve used our entire carbon budget in this country for the full year. We have exceeded our Ecological Footprint.
So, as of today, no one will be driving ICE cars or flying on airplanes. All our fossil fuel power plants are shutting down until next January. No more single-use plastics for the rest of the year. Everything is getting delivered by bicycle or on foot, and —
— wait, what? It doesn’t mean that?
It means nothing changes at all? You mean we’ll still be polluting the atmosphere with greenhouse gases and poisoning our bodies with microplastics?
If you prefer, you can use Mastodon entirely through the web without any app at all. Mastodon has an excellent web-based interface which tends to get the latest features first.

@FediTips I have found the Tusky app and enjoy using this one, but it is definitely sometimes necessary to go bigger screen, my eyes are obviously getting older...
I've just changed my server. My old account is not going to be updated, and this was because people can buy a server (such as mastodon.social) and then they can do bad things. @FediTips, thank you for the advice :)
