Do you think bleeping swear words on tv is good or bad?

@randahl I find the bleeping stupid and unnecessary.

Swear words are sounds with bad connotations, but today the bleep is also just a sound with bad connotation.

When someone on television says "go bleep yourself", no one would ever think they mean for you to go and take a shower in rose petals.

The bleep is just a synonym at this point, so why not just stop using it?

I apologize for asking an uncomfortable question, but has there ever been a debate in Germany about replacing the Iron Cross symbol of the German army?

I applaud every delivery of German equipment to Ukraine, but whenever I see the iron cross on a Leopard tank, my heart skips a beat.

To me, modern day Germany is a beacon of freedom, and I feel this symbol is associated with the opposite.

@randahl I find it interesting that a group of people can take a symbol, like the swastika, and turn it into something sinister and evil. Yet, the opposite is rarely the case.

The same goes for the iron cross. Long time military decoration of the Prussian and German empire, with roots going back to medieval times. Mostly used for military and religious symbolism.

One might argue that a symbol that has a long record for being a symbol of evil, could (and maybe should), be rebranded as a symbol for good?

That being said, I firmly believe, that no army or soldier, represents "the good".

Possibly the first sighting of Ukraine's new secret weapon: The Hitchcock Bird Squad.

Now is a good time to start running, if you are a Russian invader.

@randahl this is the natural evolution of the War Pigeon seen during WWI and II.

Today, they are more specialized, better equipped, and waaay more dangerous!

Those mf'ers will sneak up on you!
