@flexghost I can't fit both the top and bottom of these portrait format videos visible at the same time on mastodon, mainly due to how the video refuses to resize to the window, it always takes the full width of the middle column.

I’m crying on the bus (again) because some middle school kids decided that for their “design challenge” they’d envision an emergency food delivery drone that could fly high enough and fast enough that no one could shoot it down. And no one asked why someone would want to shoot down a food delivery drone— or why you couldn’t just drive a truck.

Just attending a 3-day workshop on the danger of abrupt ocean circulation changes.
Discussions are quite worrying. E.g. in 35 to 45 % of high quality models, convection in the open North Atlantic collapses in the 2030s due to #globalheating. -> Major climate disruption. Not good.

Target's profit increased 49% to $4.1B last year, even with slower sales.

Its CEO received $18M in compensation on the year while the company paid $508M in dividends in Q4.

Makes you wonder if Target could have lowered its prices a lot sooner but just chose not to.
