well hear this.
I moved my old pc that has a gtx1650 to the living room to use it as an htpc. Installed a clean os. connected it to the tv. 4k at 60hz working fine.
the next day I thought I need to run some games on it so let's install the proprietary drivers. now it only runs at 1080p60 or 4k30 which is garbage. I switched back to the previous generation that has nouveau and it works fine. infuriating!
I gave up and installed windows. it's the same shit! no 4k60.
did I just discover a case that nouveau works better?
