Banning medical debt from credit reports.

Cracking down on junk fees.

Banning non-competes.

Capping credit card fees.

Negotiating drug prices.

Expanding OT pay.

These Biden policies don't make headlines, but this is what it looks like when government works for the people.

@rbreich

I really really wish these claims were true or at least not misleading.

  • medical debt for single instances under $500 and presuming you have insurance, and this was voluntarily implemented by the godawful credit unions ahead of any government action
  • overtime pay is still avoided by the 39.999 hour loophole, and salary
  • ticketmaster simply reincorporated junk fees into the main price
  • 'negotiating' a price that does not result in a changed price is not a win

If you think the Supreme Court is out of control now, imagine if Trump appoints two, three, or four more justices.

@rbreich I’d care a lot more if Dems had ever done anything in my life even once to show they care. When someone starts complaining about the way the Supreme Court works it’s several days late and dollars short.

I’d happily change my tune if we saw money and direct government aid in the hands of us working poor instead of the “vote, VOTE” pleading that happens every few years

Last night I watched three movies. I will review them now, then make a coffee.

Late Night With The Devil (2024) - a premise so good it was great despite not quite sticking the landing
The Fate of the Furious (2017) - more fun than it had any right to be
Mulholland Falls (1996) - bargain basement Chinatown, but with excellent C-47 flying & crashing sequences in the final act, 5 stars

THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS Side-note: I only just got the joke. “Fate” of the Furious / Fast and Furious 8 / F8 = Fate I definitely need that coffee.
Mulholland Falls. SO many hats tho. Also Nick Nolte, and Jennifer Connelly’s breasts featuring like three times. Her whole job in this movie is to get people all steamy and flustered. I swear she has like 4 lines total.

@vampiress Going to check out Mulholland Falls, didn't even know that existed
