The International Astronomical Union () are hosting an gallery in ! The event is on May 27 from 11am - 12:30pm UTC and May 28 from 8pm - 9:30pm UTC, and showcases astronomical photographs captured with a smartphone 📱🌌

The event is being held in spatial.io, which is accessible from a VR headset (Quest), or just from your computer browser (i.e. no headset needed).

This is a super cool event and y’all gotta go!

@elizabethtasker Fantastic that this is an IAU event. Maybe a sign that astronomers are getting interested in VR and won't always respond with the equivalent of "Get a horse!" when we suggest VR applications?

I'm thinking of writing this retro-futuristic techno thriller where the US manages to put people on the #Moon using only 1960s technology, former Nazi rocket scientists etc.
