I just disconnected my work laptop from my home office monitor and keyboard for the last time. It’s a little sad. But mostly a happy thing.

"The college campus protests against Israel’s destruction of Gaza have been overwhelmingly peaceful. But elite reporters– following the lead of politicians of both parties – continue to refer to them as violent and chaotic."

@wdlindsy It is almost as if these Student journalists are stretching the truth or fabricating their reports. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that kids would tell tales to protect their friends.

@wdlindsy @danlyke However.

When people who are on campuses, people on the scene, share a different story than the student journalists, it’s right to question the accuracy of the journalism.

When there are six media outlets, and five report a consistent story, it’s right to look at the veracity of the one outlier (student journalism.)

It’s not the kids fault. Years of heavily biased news reporting have taught them this is okay. It’s shouldn’t be okay, and we shouldn’t believe the kids without verifying.

Shel Silverstein doesn’t get nearly enough credit for predicting ChatGPT.
