Justice spoke candidly about the ideological battle between the left & the right—discussing the difficulty of living “peacefully" w/ideological opponents in the face of "fundamental" differences that "can't be compromised." He endorsed…a necessary fight to “return our country to a place of godliness."

I think one reason there aren’t better resources for 8-12 grade CS education is a reluctance to admit that it’s a core subject— but the other issue is so many CS people are largely self taught: creating a kind of RTFM gate keeping only matched by higher mathematics.

But it doesn’t need to stay this way forever.

@futurebird there is also the fact that we no longer seem to have a wealth of books written to teach “ordinary people” how to program. Most of those disappeared with the end of the 8-bit era, and no programming language or environment took the place of bundled BASIC on modern computers. We had a brief window where it was assumed that programming was a natural part of using a computer, then apps and games (and GUIs) took over.

I don't think Trump even wants to be president again. He knows he wasn't good at it.

I believe he's running primarily in hopes of shutting down the prosecutions against him and avoiding prison or financial ruin as consequences of his own actions.

@wdlindsy "White Evangelical Christian" is just another dog whistle whose actual meaning is "unreformed bigot". They use the name but they are not Christians in any meaningful way (except maybe for the fact that they have identified the flock as easy marks)
