Given the on-going lowgrade discord-themed spam, we clearly need moderation on the trending hashtags too.

A spammer should NOT be able to spam their way to the top. Could there be a check to see if posts are from suspended accounts added?

This list is produced by the Mastodon web-interface, yes? Is it the responsibility of our server? (I will ask!)

I find it kinda weird that some come to Mastodon, just to bitch about Mastodon.

If you don't like it here, you really don't have to stay. I'm sure nobody is begging you to stay. There are other (Xhittier) sites you can go to for that kinda negativity.

I can't speak for everyone, but people can like something and criticize it, because they see so much wasted potential.

I kinda hate how much my previous experiences have changed the way I behave.

Sometimes I think of a legit question to a post but can't write it in a way that doesn't seem contradictory to the post, so I just won't reply.

This is because many previous experiences tell me that replying in a way that seems even remotely contradictory, will get me nothing but insults and no actual answer to the question.

Also the fact that I've been blocked many times before (including by Fedi admins) without warning or discussion, leaves me thinking "is this something someone might have blocked me for in the past? And should I post it?" 🤦‍♂️

The amount of people who are hostile to simple replies is too damn high...😩

@BeAware unfortunately that's how fediverse is and how censorship works. To make you afraid of saying anything, worried it might be taken the wrong way.
I myself got blocked by an instance because I posted a picture of my sleeping cat. Someone on that instance reported the post calling it "cat spam"! Even though I barely ever post any cat pics.
A couple of days later I realized I can't follow anyone on that instance anymore.

    @BeAware have you joined any relays? Since if you have, considering how all posts are stored locally in the database, deleting your own posts is probably not gonna make any relevant difference.
