Every opportunity where diversity can grow is a good one. I'm glad they will try to build national alternatives to a US dominated market, which is never a good thing. They'll probably be cheaper which is a good thing keeping in mind the Steam Deck is expensive unless you live in the first world.

Whats the purpose for usernames on signal?

Been using signal for years and love it and got the majority of my contacts on to it. My question is how are usernames useful now? You still need to register with a phone number with signal to limit spam and bots afaik and I'm assuming you should protect your username just like you do your phone number anyways because spam,...

I tried to read you in goofld faith but the moment you basically said the dev shouldn't be able to have a side project, or a life for that matter, because they should be working for you to get the feature you want is unforgivable. It is libre software, you are free to contribute and add it yourself. Value others' work, you entitled fuck.

Are non circadian rhythm disrupting light bulbs a thing?

Another one of my random ideas that I'm curious if it's actually available. I tried searching for this but couldn't find much information. Basically, the same concept of reducing blue light as those glasses and the "night mode" for screens to help you sleep. I imagine it's not that hard to do that with white LED lights as well,...

I remember seeing some Philips bulbs that you could configure it's tone with their application, sad thing is closed source and shit but maybe once you change it you don't need to touch it anymore, unless you want it to change its colour throughout the day.

I think there's potential there, but it's hard to ask people that can barely sustain their existence to spend time they could be using to earn money is a bit complicated, if there were some true promise of true economical compensation, maybe, but for that you need to expropriate some land which would never happen in the US because their military industry is too big, that generally happens like in countries with heavy levels of peasantry.

I asked them if it's possible and they said yes if you modify the back end, but I don't think they have time to maintain two projects like this. :/

If you get yourself a Python developer which isn't that crazy you could do it though.
