@Wileymiller @GottaLaff Gerrymandering and their Fox Bubble has built them into a trap. If they DON'T come across as extreme, they get primaried out of nearly anything. So they HAVE to appeal to the most extreme part of their party to get into a general, and that hurts them in the general. Every time. They made their (puritanical) bed, now they can lie in it!

@JGR0 @idoubtit @GottaLaff I've had a different experience. I've had a Tesla for seven years and never had a major problem (and very few minor problems). I've owned a Chevy, a Ford, a couple of Hondas, an Acura, a Mercedes and an Audi, but the Tesla is my favorite car I've ever had.

But I'll never give that man another dollar (and, had I known who he really was, I wouldn't have 7 years ago).

@hrbrmstr @JGR0 @idoubtit @GottaLaff I did say "no major problems" -- and recalls are pretty standard in my experience (every new car I've ever purchased has had recalls, some serious). Most of the Tesla recalls were fixed "OTA" that is, over the air, meaning I didn't even have to bring the car in for the recall.

As I said I'd never give them another dollar, but honestly after nearly 35 years of car ownership, this is the best one.

@rbreich the crazy thing isn't that it lost $58 million. It's that it did that on only FOUR MILLION DOLLARS in sales. That's literally around as much as a typical McDonalds will do in a year. It's a very small business with no hope of large revenue or returns.
