You're aware that one of the reasons that Tiktok is actually being banned is because the userbase is way more aware of the bullshit being perpetuated by state media in the US, right? Other platforms like YT shorts are Tiktok without the awareness, they couldn't BE any more brain rotted, Tiktok's users moving there might actually improve it.

Depends which channel you're watching of the two he has. His main channel is outstanding for 99% of topics he covers, well sourced, researched and presented. His alternative streaming clips channel is much more rough, it's clear the guy's got no filter whatsoever and is willing to go off on anyone for better or for worse, which makes him come off as pretty damn unlikeable at times.

But overall it's a small compromise for the good stuff he does put out, so he's fine in my book.

During an unrelated discussion about something or the other (sports or something), I brought up a list of Asian countries, and instinctively accidentally said "DPRK" instead of "North Korea" during an actual conversation irl with a liberal that I often talk to. And after a little bit he produced the quote in the title....

I think the whole idea just stemmed from that one yogurt advertisement and that's about as far as the idea seems to have gotten.

The trope that "German's Fled to Latin America after the war" is overinflated anti-Latin American propaganda at this point. The US and broader west took in just as many if not more Germans who fled.
