I understand the importance of alt text for images. But as I was drafting my image description just now a question occurred to me – in adding alt text to images am I also inadvertently making it easier for the AI bots to scrape my artwork?

@beach If you use Nightshade, Alt text can make the poison more effective 😏

That being said I think accessibility is more important than (supposed) protection of individual pieces of media because they auto generate descriptions anyways (that's why writing crap in the caption also doesn't work)

@doomofthedesert 😆 I’m definitely going to have to look more closely into glaze and Nightshade.

And yes, I think you’re right - accessibility probably trumps my fears over AI, especially as it seems from other answers on here that they can scrape equally well whether there are captions or not.
