Apologies for the post earlier today about how to see text-only posts on Pixelfed. Due to updates to Pixelfed's software, the info I posted on it was out of date. There seems to be no useful way to change the info as the feature itself seems to be absent/undergoing maintenance.

Really sorry, will try to check things more carefully on future posts. 😳

Mentions (also known as @-ing) means when you type @ and then an account, which causes a link to the account's profile to appear in your post.

Mentioning an account also generates a notification for the owner of the account, and in some post visibility modes it also allows the mentioned account to be able to see your post. Mentions can be handy to let other people know exactly who you are talking about.
