That's accurate. A buddy of mine was wearing ceramic plates in his carrier in Afghanistan and was shot at close range with an AK47. First and second round shattered the ceramic, second went through the kevlar, but not much more. Third and fourth rounds went right through his abdomen.

Do you leave a tip for housekeeping if you're only staying one night in a hotel?

Is it a 'thank you for prepping my room' or 'please clean my room today'? If you tip post cleaning, it's likely going to someone else the next day. Many hotels now only do housekeeping on demand. How do employees feel about this - do they miss the tips or are they happy for a less stressful workday?...

I went to a restaurant last month that automatically places a 20% tip on your receipt.

But if you pay by card like I do and don't read the fine print in the bottom of the menu front page like I do, you end up giving a 15% tip and then finding out about the 20% tip after you've accepted your food cost+ 15% on their stupid little tablet. And of course I'm not going to make a big deal about it. I'll just never come back.

Can confirm. Literal concrete boogers every day. Very hard surfaces and toxins leaking everywhere. Tire fires too. Nuclear seems like a dream except for all the political and security stuff.

I've had a cat die of starvation in a tree.

I've also had a friend's cat get killed by an arborist that offered to climb up and help them down.

For my cats we were lucky enough to live somewhere that had very little traffic at the time, so we'd let the cats out only when we were out.

Then slowly let them out, but only in the garden area, and then only with a leash. Eventually we stopped letting them out. We'd distract them before opening doors.

Dude. Have you ever had a dog? Every had a dog harness? The designs are very similar.

Cat harnesses can absolutely be made so that the cat doesn't slip out. My cat's harness is designed so that not only can he not slip out, it will also not Choke him if he gets hooked on something.

Some cats like wearing harnesses.
