There's a bit of misunderstanding here. You didn't buy digital content on Funimation. You purchased the physical copies (DVD/BluRay) and also got access to it digitally on your account, sort of like a bonus. I do understand the frustration since Funimation said you'll have access to it forever online. I don't know what to say if people bought it solely for the digital convenience. But you still have access to the physical media.

Gentle reminder to everyone that support for ends in about 90 weeks. Many computers can't upgrade to Win 11 so here are your options:

  1. Continue on Win 10 but with higher security risks.
  2. Buy new and expensive hardware that supports Win11.
  3. Try a beginner friendly distro like . It only takes about two months to acclimate.

I understand you want people to switch to Linux but

  1. 90 weeks is far away. It drops in October 2025
  2. You'll still get security updates for a few years
  3. After that there will be paid support which people will get around and find ways to install
  4. Windows 10 LTSC (best version of Windows IMO) still exists. The Enterprise LTSC version will have support till 2027 and the IoT version will have support till 2032. You can get them if you know how to look around

Yeah I wasn't talking about getting it the legal way. They don't care unless you're a business.

It's because VAC kinda sucks. People will rather have a functioning anti-cheat with more access than play with cheaters.

Canonical's Steam Snap is Causing Headaches for Valve ( www.omgubuntu.co.uk )

Timothée Besset, a software engineer who works on the Steam client for Valve, took to Mastodon this week to reveal: “Valve is seeing an increasing number of bug reports for issues caused by Canonical’s repackaging of the Steam client through snap”....

Grain9325 ,

Yup, the AUR is a godsend. I barely touch the other methods and only use AppImages when I'm too lazy.

I mean Dolphin gives a prompt for the same thing when I launch it.

Not a complete alternative but check out Indie Wiki Buddy extension for independent wikis that are shifting away from Fandom.

mossbag on YouTube has a good video on it.

X is old and works for the most part but fixing stuff or adding features is hard.

Wayland is new and is supposed to be a successor to X, do what it couldn't do and don't repeat the mistakes from it. It should be a drop-in replacement like pipewire but isn't. Features take long time to develop as devs are engrossed thinking of the best solution to make it happen. A lot of proposed solutions are dismissed as well.

Grain9325 ,

And here I am anxious thinking I might offend the devs so I spend way too much time thinking what I've written is not rude
